Group of Helping Hands (SAHAS) Nepal is a non-profit making non-governmental-organization founded in 1996 by a team of professional development workers, who for many years had been involved in Rural Development Programs. The organization has since then successfully implemented various projects in the sectors of sustainable agriculture and food security, natural resource management, climate change, community empowerment, social mobilization, lobby and advocacy, civic education, disaster response and reconstruction and infrastructure (water, sanitation, roads and bridges) development. At present, the organization is implementing several projects in a total of 21 districts of Nepal. Local Initiatives for Food Security Transformation (LIFT) Project is 3-years project being implemented in Okhaldhunga, Udayapur, South Lalitpur, Mugu, Bajura and Kalikot districts from May, 2019 till December, 2021. The project is funded by Bread for the World, Germany. The main goal of the project is to improve the food security situation of the small and marginalized farmers from the project districts.

SAHAS Nepal is looking for potential candidates for the following positions in LIFT Project.

1. Post: Project Officer – 6

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• Bachelor in Agriculture, Development Studies, Social Science with 1 year’s experience or Intermediate in Agriculture, Development Studies, Social Science plus 5 years experience in relevant field of development organizations.

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Planning, Implementation, monitoring and reporting

• Good interpersonal skills to build effective working relationship with Local Government bodies and other related stakeholders

• Good Co-ordination and management ability

• Excellent language and communication skills in Nepali and English

• Proposal development in Nepali/English

• Staff supervision and development

• Good Computer skills

2. Post: Advocacy and Partnership Officer – 2

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• Bachelor in Development studies, Social Science plus 5 years experience in relevant field of development organizations

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Planning, Implementation, monitoring and reporting

• Good interpersonal skills to build effective working relationship with Local Government bodies and other related stakeholders

• Good Co-ordination and management ability

• Excellent language and communication skills in Nepali and English

• Organize training on Advocacy

• Collection of case study

• Staff supervision and development

• Good Computer skills

3. Post: Gender Officer – 1

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• Bachelor in Gender, Development Studies, Social Science plus 3 years experience in relevant field of development organizations.

• Diploma course in Gender

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Planning, Implementation, monitoring and reporting on gender related activities

• Good interpersonal skills to build effective working relationship with Local Government bodies and other related stakeholders

• Gender mainstreaming and proactive technical support

• Design and implementation of trainings on gender related topics • Excellent language and communication skills in Nepali and English

• Proposal develop in Nepali/English

• Provide support to the staff, partners on mainstreaming gender

• Ensure gender integration in the day – to – day activities • Good Computer skills

4. Post: Agriculture Technical Officer – 1

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• Bachelor in Agriculture with 1 year’s experience or Intermediate in Agriculture, plus 5 years experience in relevant field of development organizations.

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Planning, Implementation, monitoring and reporting

• Good interpersonal skills to build effective working relationship with Local Government bodies and other related stakeholders

• Organized training, workshop and meeting in climate, DRR related activities

• Good Co-ordination and management ability

• Excellent language and communication skills in Nepali and English

• Staff supervision and development

• Good computer skills

5. Post: Disaster Risk Reduction Officer – 1

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• Bachelor in Natural Resource Management plus 2 years working experiences in relevant sector or Development studies and Social Science with 3 years experiences

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Capacity building of the vulnerable communities

• Prepare disaster risk reduction plans in local level

• Coordinate with local district level’s stakeholders

• Planning, implementation of the project

• Staff supervision and reporting

• Reports preparation

• Good Computer skills

6. Post: Finance and Admin Officer – 1

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• BBS or BB Accounts with 2 years experience in Finance and Administrative works.

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Budget implementation

• Reporting, Monitoring and follow up

• Staff coaching • Computer skills with accounting software

7. Post: Agriculture Technician – 16

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• TSLC in Agriculture plus 2 years working experiences in relevant sector

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Agriculture base activities implementation

• Coordination with Municipality and Rural Municipality

• Technical support

• Report writing

• Computer skills

8. Post: Sub Overseer – 6

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• TSLC in Civil Engineer with 2 years working experience in relevant sector

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Infrastructure base activities implementation

• Coordination with Municipality and Rural Municipality

• Technical support , Report writing

• Computer skills

9. Post: Health Technician – 6

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• TSLC in Health plus 2 years experience

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Health base activities implement

10. Post: Advocacy and Partnership Facilitator - 6

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• Intermediate pass with 2 years experience

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Enhance CBNOs capacity

• Organize training on advocacy

• Collection of case study

• Reporting

• Computer skills

11. Post: Gender Facilitators - 3

1.1. Qualification / Experience

• Intermediate in Gender, Social Studies or Development studies with 2 years experiences

• Skills in report writing, planning in relevant sector

• Computer skills with local languages

1.2 Roles and Responsibility

• Advocacy, lobby and social mobilize fields

• Develop of training materials, conduct trainings

• Liaison, Coordination, communication, planning and reporting in related field

• Maintain and develop existing partnership, liaising with partners to develop and deliver

• Able to travel and work in remote areas of the project sites
