International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) on behalf of International Nepal Fellowship (INF/UK) is seeking a competent, skilled, service-oriented, and devoted Nepali citizen to join our organization.

Report to: Programmes Manager-INF/UK

Job Level: Mid-level Management

Working station: Kathmandu, with frequent field visits

We work with 5 partners in Nepal and are supporting 20 live projects. Our focus is on 4 thematic areas – health, climate change and livelihood, education, and disaster relief. These projects are being implemented in Provinces 2, 3, 5, and 6.

In this role, you will work closely with, and provide proactive, timely, and accurate support to INF/UK’s Senior Management Team. You will ensure effective communication between our partner’s project teams and INF/UK, and ensure projects funded by INF/UK are in line with Project Agreements and donors’ expectations. You will be accountable for reviewing the progress of the projects and reports submitted by partners. You will also, support the INF/UK senior team to collect project and program monitoring and evaluation data.

Core Competencies

  • 3 years’ experience in managing project deliverables and budgets and reporting on internationally funded education, livelihood, climate change and health projects;
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of M&E tools and results-based monitoring.
  • Knowledge and experience of statistical tools for project-related data analysis;
  • Knowledge and experience in working with local communities and stakeholders; Sound understanding of development issues in Nepal and neighbouring countries;
  • Strong networking, collaborative, and constructive working skills;
  • Strong experience in liaising and coordinating with a wide range of partners and remote teams;
  • Very good understanding of Microsoft office products, especially excel, together with experience of online platforms/databases.

Responsibilities: 

Project and Partner

  • Work closely with project partners to ensure the production and submission of high-quality, accurate and timely technical and financial information and reports to INF/UK, including Quarterly progress reports;
  • Review partner reports, identifying anomalies, points of concern or issues before submitting them to the INF/UK Program Manager;
  • Regular liaison with the project partners on behalf of the INF/UK Program Manager;
  • Maintain effective communication between partners and the UK team;
  • Carry out desk research and provide inputs to develop proposals. Program Monitoring and Evaluation Work with partners and support the INF/UK Program Manager to review agreed project indicators within defined timeframes, quality, and value for money;
  • Serve as a focal point to collect, collate, and maintain project documents required for program evaluation;
  • Responsible for collating and collecting program-level M&E data in coordination with the partner’s M&E team;
  • Support the INF/UK Program Manager to maintain a database to monitor program-level output, outcome, and impact indicators;
  • Work closely with partner project managers to collate and review/assess project specific M&E data;
  • Collect, Collate, and maintain project documents required for program evaluation of INF/UK-funded projects;
  • Under supervision of the INF/UK Program Manager, develop and implement participatory monitoring tools and disseminate them to project staff and target beneficiaries to measure progress.

Right to work and Language

  • Must have the right to reside and work in Nepal without the need for a work visa or work permit.
  • Master's degree in International Development Studies, Public health, Social Work, Agriculture or Social Science with 3 years’ work experience Excellent command of spoken/written English and Nepali.
