Program Officers of FK Norway- Magnhild Begseth and Marit Bakken visited SAHAS Nepal, Central Office on 7th of September, 2016. During the meeting, Dr. Surendra Kumar Shrestha, Executive Director of SAHAS Nepal presented brief organization profile and ongoing project activities at different districts of our working areas. Dr. Shrestha debriefed about last year’s achievements and experience of “Youth Exchange Program” between FK Norway, Act Now and SAHAS. Culture exchange, leadership and youth engagement in developmental activities are main objective of the program. He also presented draft action plan for “Youth Exchange Program 2016”, incorporating previous year’s learning and feedback.
The FK Norway Team were overwhelmed with diversified thematic working areas and wide extensive networks of SAHAS Nepal. Last year, three Norwegian and two Nepali female participants took part in the program. This year, a Nepali participant departed to Norway to join youth exchange program. Two Norwegian volunteers to Nepal would be assigned to Okhaldhunga district, and would be involved in wide range of interest as capacity building- participation in professional meetings, teaching in schools, leadership trainings, sports campaign and facilitation in group meetings.
