Mainstreaming Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Plan (LDCRP)
Climate change is undeniably affecting smallholder and marginalised rural farmers, creating new livelihood challenges. To address these impacts, SAHAS Nepal in partnership with (Felm) is moving towards Establishing Climate Resilient Palikas that equip communities with the knowledge, skills, tools and technologies to adapt and thrive despite climate challenges.
To build Climate Resilient Shibalaya Palika, Paila project organised interaction programme focusing on mainstreaming Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Plans in Shibalaya Palika.
During the programme, Palika sectoral units committed to;
- Establishing a Knowledge Center
- Establishing a Community Seed Bank
- Setting up a Collection Center
- Budget allocation to support these initiatives in coordination with the Paila project.
Paila project and the SAMVAD network submitted their annual plan to incorporate in the red book of Palika for the Nepali Fiscal Year 2081/082.
