Through C&D Dialogue, where SAHAS Nepal is an active network member along with committed Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), had the honor of presenting shared concerns to the Rt. Honorable President Ram Chandra Poudel in anticipation of the upcoming UNFCCC COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This meeting provided a vital platform to brief His Excellency on the urgent issues, challenges, and aspirations of vulnerable and marginalised communities who are impacted by the escalating climate crisis. With climate change posing an existential threat to these communities, this meeting emphasised the need for unified, collective and bold action. Our objective is to strengthen collaboration between the government and civil society, fostering a powerful, united advocacy for Nepal at COP29.
