The national conference brought together Community-Based Network Organizations (CBNOs) and SAMVAD group members from across Nepal to engage in collective reflection, knowledge exchange, and future collaboration for sustainable community development.

The event was formally inaugurated by Mr. Manoj Bhatta, Member Secretary of the Social Welfare Council, who attended as the Chief Guest. Dr. Surendra Kumar Shrestha, Founder and Executive Director of SAHAS Nepal, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the organization's journey, commitment to grassroots empowerment, and sharing the objectives of the programme.

The conference featured insightful thematic presentations by Mr. Kamal Phuyal, who shed light on critical issues including:

•  Social Stratification and People's Participation in the Development Process

•  Analysis of the Concept of People-Centered Development

•  The Role of Community-Based Networks in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals

Participants actively engaged in interactive sessions that fostered mutual learning, strengthened solidarity among CBNOs and SAMVAD members, and envisioned collective pathways toward inclusive change.

A key highlight of the conference was the formation of a National-Level Loose Network, representing all provinces. This network was democratically elected with the inclusive participation of CBNOs and SAMVAD members, setting a milestone for coordinated advocacy, policy engagement, and grassroots action across the nation.
