On 18th and 19th December 2014, two days Participatory Strategic Plan Development (2015-2019) Workshop of SAHAS Nepal was held on Yala Maya Kendra, Patan Lalitpur. Forty seven participants including Executive Director (Dr. Surendra Kumar Shrestha), SAHAS Executive Board members, Senior and field level staffs have actively participated in the workshop. Mr. John Williamson has facilitated the workshop. During the workshop, several group exercise were done in six groups. The collected response of survey form from Funding Partners, District Line Agencies, Community Based Network Organizations and SAHAS Staffs were discussed in the workshop and positively critically reviewed in a participatory way.
During the workshop, SAHAS accomplishments, Trend Analysis, PESTEL (Political, Economical, Social, Technological, Environmental and Legal) Analysis, Strengths, Opportunities, Challenges, Vision, Mission and Goal were meticulously discussed and analyzed in a participatory way. At the end of the workshop, all the participants have expressed their New Year Resolution at Organizational and personal level too. Dr. Surendra Shrestha concluded the workshop and appreciated all the participants for their contribution in development of SAHAS Strategic Plan (2015-2019). He also emphasized that the second round workshop on the Strategic Plan Development will be held soon to finalize the Strategic Document in a participatory way.
