Using an intergrated approach in rural development

The poor inhabitants of the community have made drinking water available to all families, making a water supply project successful. They have learnt how to work affiliated to a group. The group has already saved Rs 10,000 and is still collecting Rs 1-2 a member to expand the fund. With a view to increase income, the organisation made 22 goats available to the group. Now, the number of goats has increased to 45. In addition, the group has already earned an income of Rs 30,000 by selling 15 goats. Part of this income has been earmarked for goats' healthcare and the rest has equally been distributed among group members to address their immediate needs.
